Giving gifts and cards is a norm for Valentine’s Day. This year, instead of having to buy some cards to give to your valentine, why not make them on your own. This way, Valentine’s cards will have an added value. They will have a personal meaning to both you the giver and the person to whom the card will be given to, th receiver. The awesome part about these DIYs is that they are not costly to make, and are also not difficult to make. Here are 12 great DIYs for you to try out.
From the large logs of trees, you will have to cut them into slices, perfect shape for our projects.
The following are the DIY wood slice:
Flower Vase. – This is an ordinary vase you get to buy at the store. The tree branches are sliced to give those small diameter slices which will later be glued on your vase outer surface and change everything. See how cute it is.
Mirror Frame. – Here is a huge DIY mirror made of the same small sliced tree branches. You need a huge wooden board, cut it into a huge circle. Draw another circle inside it enough to fit your mirror because there is where you will glue the slices around it before placing the mirror.
Wall written decor. – This is a nice wall artwork which you can personalize it by writing anything you want, by your own hands, meaning your own handwriting.
Placemat. – A table placemat décor, it is very unique, classic and natural.
Stool. – The idea here is to change an ordinary stool to a woody one. Cut a big slice (in diameter) and smooth the edges before attaching it to its legs. It is a beautiful centerpiece.

Photo Art. – Show off your favorite photo in a manner that is worthy of their greatness. Just print out the picture you like on the paper with dried glue. Then apply the matte gel on your smooth wood before pressing your picture on top so it transfers the image while still wet. Keep squeezing it with a credit card to let out all bubbles out. Let it dry for about an hour and peel the paper off to see the magic underneath. Amazing!
Decoupage – You only need glue, brush and pieces of paper of your favorite design and color to complete this project. Result is outstanding!
House Number Sign. – People neglect this number and feel irresponsible to redecorate or even repaint it but DIY is reminding you today that you can make everything in your house special, even your house number sign.
Lamp. – This is a brilliant idea. About ten wood slices with your normal tube light you can buy at the store could totally transform and decorate your room with a unique and fascinating lamp.
